Outline (in English)

(Course Outline & Learning Objectives)
This course aims to get an academic skill to read Japanese and English books and deepen the knowledge of European Modern History. This year we will study on Tocqueville. I expect students to read assignments in advance and participate in the discussion actively.

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
I expect students to have completed the required assignment before the seminar. Your study time will be more than four hours for a workshop at least.

(Grading Criteria)
Grading will be decided based on the students' presentation and performance in the seminar.
