Outline (in English)

Course Outline: The aim of this course is to help students acquire the basic academic skills to write a graduation thesis on pre-modern Western history。
Course Objectives: By the end of the course, students are expected to
acquire and improve their reading comprehension of academic works written in Japanese and English, logical thinking, presentation skills and academic writing.
Learning Acivities outside of Classroom: Before each class meeting, students are expected to have read the assigned text and to prepare for the group/individual presentation. Your required study time is at least four hours for each class meeting.
Grading Policy: Grading will be decided based on in-class contribution (80%) and spring term-end report (20%).
