Outline (in English)

Course Outline: Focusing on modern and contemporary art created in Europe, especially in France, we will study artworks from multiple points of view.
Learning Objectives: The goal of this course is to learn how to understand works of art in the context of art history.
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom: If possible, students should go to museums voluntarily to see artworks, based on the knowledge they learn in the class.
Grading Criteria/Policy: The final grade will be decided according to brief comments written by students at the end of each class (40%) and a paper submitted at the end of the course (60%).
