Outline (in English)

Regarding the Japanese performing arts that developed after the early modern era, we will learn about the history, the characteristics of music and lyrics, the relation to theater and dance, the characteristics of experts and enthusiasts, and above all with the music. In the spring semester, we mainly target music for the koto, shamisen, shakuhachi and kokyū.
