Outline (in English)

【Course outline】In this lecture, we will mainly focus on the agricultural and mountainous areas of Japan as an approach to capture the regional space. In the agricultural and mountainous village areas where the population is declining, there are various regional developments, and we will learn from the cases and discuss them.
【Learning Objectives】Understand the social and economic structures of Japan's rural areas behind the regional space.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】Prepare the text in advance and raise questions and issues. After class, look back on the content and sort out the main points. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】Discussion:50%, Report content:50%.
