Outline (in English)
This course is designed to help students overcome their fear of
speaking English in front of others and acquire the ability to
express themselves in English (including reading and writing)
in a natural and relaxed manner, as well as the ability
to communicate in a way that is easy for the listener to
understand.

人前で英語を話すことへの苦手意識を克服し、自然体であがらずに、落ち着いて自己表現できる英語力（読み書きを含む）を身につけることを目ざすとともに、 筋道を立て、聞き手にわかりやすく伝えるコミュニケーション能力を身に付けることを目的としたアクティブな演習形式の授業である。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
課題のmini-presentationに関しては、英語の間違いというよりも、授業の内容を理解して条件に沿ったものになっているかを重視します。
平常点（授業内での活動状況、小テストなど） ２０％
課題（mini-presentationを書く) ５０％
期末テスト ３０％
Class activities, quizzes, etc. 20%.
Assignments (writing mini-presentations) 50%.
Final exam 30%.

すでに学生たちには人気のワークショップやプレゼン力向上以外にも、学生間のフィードバックなどを通してより多くの気づきや達成感が感じられる授業内容にさらに工夫をします。
また学生ができるだけ多く授業で発言できる授業を心がける。

【注意】
・授業は基本的には対面で行いますが、コロナの状況次第では
ZOOMを使ったリアルタイムのオンライン授業に切り替えます。
