Outline (in English)
As the world becomes more globalized, opportunities to write in English are expected to increase more and more. In this class, students are expected to acquire the four skills of listening, reading, speaking, and writing in English, and especially to be able to write essays in English by the end of the school year.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
世界のグローバル化の進展とともに英文を書く機会もますます増えていくと予想されます。本授業では、パソコン教室を利用し、聞いて読んで話して書く英語の4技能の習得と、特に年度末までに英語でエッセイが書けるようになることを目的とします。
到達目標Goal
学生はコンピューターを使った英作文の仕方を習得し、英語のパラグラフの構造が理解できるようになり、様々な型の英語のパラグラフが書けるようになり、最終的にはエッセイが書けるようになることを目標とします。

本授業は準備、入門、発展の3段階方式を取ります。「準備編」ではコンピュータを使って書く練習とパラグラフの構成を学び、「入門編」ではタイプの異なるパラグラフを書く練習をし、「発展編」ではパラグラフからエッセイへと発展しますが、春学期では前２者が対象となります。各ユニットごとにペア・ワークやグループ・ワークを通じて理解し例文を読んで得た成果を、およそ1か月に１つ課題として提出し、教師のフィードバック（添削）後、再提出してもらう予定です。

レポート課題：80％、平常点：20％

昨年度の授業で学生による授業評価は悪くはありませんでしたが、本年度はクラスのレベルが高くなったとのことで学生1人1人と接しながらきめ細かい授業をしていきたいと考えています。

無論、辞書を引くことは歓迎されますが、翻訳機器や他人の文章の無断の借用は原則として禁止です。インターネットや書物などの情報を利用するときには必ず引用符（"..."）でくくり、References（出典）を明記しましょう。盗作が発覚した場合は得点は与えません。
