Outline (in English)

【授業の概要(Course outline)】
The purpose of this class is that students are ready to pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1.
It is that students can comprehend sentences of a certain length that be examined in JLPT quickly and accurately.
In addition, students will be able to learn to catch kanji, vocabularies and grammatical items that related to these sentences.

【到達目標(Learning Objectives)】
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
1.To be used to the Japanese exam style.
2.To develop reading comprehension at the level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1.
3.To acquire general reading ability other than for the exam.
4.To acquire the ability to understand KANJI characters, vocabulary, and grammar that is necessary for reading.


【授業時間外の学習(Learning activities outside of classroom)】
1.Before class, please read the text of the textbook you gave instructions and answer the questions.
2.Always observe your results in class and be aware of the purpose of your study.
* The standard preparatory study / review time for this class is 1 hour in total.
Besides that, get in the habit of reading 20 minutes a day.

【成績評価の方法と基準(Grading Criteria /Policy)】
・Normal score (attitude during class, number of remarks, completeness of reading aloud, etc.) 20%
・Small tests (7 times plus test) 20%
・KANJI character quizzes 10%
・Mid-term exam 20%
・Final exam 20%
・Submission of quiz results sheet 10%
* If you are absent 4 times or more, you will not receive credit.
* Students who are absent 4 times or more cannot take the final exam.
