Outline (in English)

This is an advanced level Japanese grammar and reading comprehension class for J6 students. This course improves students' reading skills. The objective of this course is to understand a wide variety of vocabulary, expressions, and structure of Japanese sentences through exposure to different themes, genres, and styles of writing. At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to explain his or her opinions logically and constructively.
Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments before each class meeting. Your study time will be more than two hours for a class.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
attendance and class participation: 25%, homework: 20%, quiz: 15%, midterm exam: 20%, final exam: 20%
