Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
This is a kanji class aimed at J4 students, as well as J5 students that are struggling with kanji. Aspiring J3 students can also take this class. The aim of this class is to review all kanji at N4 level and to be able to read kanji and sentences that will show up often in your daily life.

【Learning Objectives】
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
-Review the kanji for beginners and read the kanji that you often use in your daily life.
-Reconfirm the basics of kanji such as radicals.
-Study new kanji and vocabulary by yourself using the kanji dictionary.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will be expected to complete all required all assignments. Your study time is at least two hours for each class meeting.

【Grading Criteria/Policy】
Grading will be decided based on the following:
Class participation: 30%
Assignments :15%
Quizzes:15%
Mid-term Exam:20%
Final Exam:20%

*Students who miss 4 or more times will not be eligible for a credit on this course, nor take the final exam.
