Outline (in English)
When discussing regions, geographical concepts become essential. Geography is nowadays a discipline of space, and it has expanded its field interdisciplinarily. This lesson is an introduction to cultural geography focusing on cultural differences in the region. Throughout the lecture, I will consider what cultural geography is and what is unique about the method. I would also like to introduce urban geography.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
地域を論じて行く場合、地理学的な概念が不可欠になる。地理学は現代では空間の学問といわれており、学際的にその領域を拡張している。本授業は地域の文化的差異に注目する文化地理学の入門編である。講義全体を通じて、文化地理学とは何か、その方法上の特色はどこにあるかを考えていくが、また都市地理学の紹介も行って行きたい。
到達目標Goal
到達目標は文化地理学の全貌把握にあり、その理論を個々が研究に活用できるようにすることにある。地理学が空間の学問である点を把握したうえで、学際的になっている現代の社会科学、人文科学の中でどのような位置を占め、文化的差異への注目はどのような効用をもたらせているのかを理解し、説明することができるところまで求めたい。

一般的には地理学は人文地理学と自然地理学のふたつの領域で構成されるが、本授業では文化地理学を主にして進めていく。文化地理学のこれまでの流れを把握しながら、空間論的、文化的転換期を迎えて以降の様々な研究を紹介していく。適宜、議論を交えていくが、最後にレポート課題の提出を求めたい。
