Outline (in English)

The objective of Seminar 1 is to understand the basic concepts and theories involved in the design of management accounting systems that provide accounting information useful for the various decisions made by corporate executives and business unit managers in their organizations and for the performance measurement and evaluation of corporate and subordinate organizational units and their managers.
By studying the basic concepts and important themes of management accounting, the course aims to provide students with the basic knowledge and concepts necessary for studying and researching management accounting. In addition, the seminar aims to help students understand the contents and usefulness of financial and non-financial indicators for performance measurement and evaluation of company-wide and subordinate organizational units.
Students are expected to read the relevant sections of the textbook, as well as the papers and cases presented, on the topics to be discussed in the seminar. Those in charge of presentations should prepare their presentations using PowerPoint. Students who are not in charge of presentations should prepare questions in advance. Students who are not in charge of presentations should prepare questions in advance, and research the basic technical terms. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
Grades in the exercises will be based on the content of the report on the theme of the presenter (40%), the degree of active participation in the seminar discussions (30%), and the submission of reports (30%).
