Outline (in English)
【Course outline】
Our objective of this seminar is to understand personnel management practices which are changing dynamically affected by the trends of aging society, globalization and technology advancement. We study topics such as performance management of core employee, portfolio of different employment forms, career formation of female employee and international feature of Japanese employment practices. Students are required to participate actively in discussion, making presentation and preparation for those activities.
【Learning Objective】
The three objectives of this course are as follows.
(1) To be able to understand the basic concept of human resource management by subscribing to literature, (2) To be able to summarize one's own and one's group's ideas while incorporating the opinions of the participants through discussion, and (3) To be able to set a research topic based on one's own and one's group's interests, conduct a literature survey and an interview survey, and analyze and present the results in a research report. 【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Outside of class you will be expected to do the following
1) Reading and commenting on the literature assigned for the exercise.
2) Preparation of the report for the exercise (collection of literature data, research, preparation of materials for the report, etc.)
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
【Grading Criteria/Policy】
Ordinary points: 20%.
Positive contribution to class activities and discussions: 50%.
Active contribution to research and presentation: 30%.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
変化の中の人材マネジメントをテーマにします。少子高齢化やグローバル化、AIの進展など、社会・経済環境の変化の中で、日本の雇用・労働・人事管理は変化の中にあります。例えば「成果主義」の導入など、正社員の働き方が変わるとともに、パート・アルバイト・契約社員など非正社員や、派遣スタッフ・個人請負など、正社員以外の働き方で働く人も増えてきています。女性活躍推進や仕事と生活の調査（ワーク・ライフ・バランス）など、人材マネジメントに課せられた課題の比重も変わりつつあります。
この演習では、参加者の関心を踏まえつつ、上記のような変化にかかわる具体的なトピックスに焦点を当てつつ、人事担当者や職場のマネジャー等が担う人材マネジメントの現状や課題について勉強します。
到達目標Goal
本演習の到達目標は以下の３点です。
①文献購読により、人材マネジメントに関する基本的な考え方を理解することができる、②ディスカッションを通して、参加者の意見を取り入れながら自分やグループの考えをまとめることができる、③研究報告を行う中で、自分やグループの関心に基づき研究課題を設定し、文献調査やインタビュー調査等を行い、分析し、発表することができる

実務の人を招いて話を聞くこともあります。
ゼミ形式ですから、授業計画を基本としつつも、参加者の希望や関心、学習状況に合わせて柔軟に対応していきます。
