Outline (in English)

Financial economics is essential knowledge for businesspersons in any industry. In this class, students study introductory financial economics such as the role of financial markets and financial institutions in the spring term and then learn about public policy including monetary policy and financial regulations in the fall term. The goal of this class is to acquire sufficient knowledge about financial economics for resolving business challenges. After the class, students are expected to review what they learned in the class and read articles in newspapers and magazines related to the lecture. Preparatory study and review time for this class are 2 hours each. The grades are based on (1) the final exam (70%), and (2) reaction papers (30%).
