Outline (in English)

【Outline】
The purpose of this course are (1) to understand how corporate management is conducted under "industrialization" and "urbanization" and (2) to understand how social relations are formed around corporate management and how they affect corporate organizations and the individuals who work in them

【Learning Objectives】
By the end of the course, students are expected to understand the followings:

(1) How the state of corporate management has been formed and changed under the process of "industrialization," which is the formation process of "industrial society.
(2) How "social relations surrounding corporate management" are being formed and changed.
(3) The progress of "urbanization," which can be viewed as a change in society as a whole accompanying "industrialization," and how "urbanization" affects business management, individuals involved in business management, and social relations surrounding business management.

【Learning activities outside of classroom)】
Students are expected to do the followings. Your required study time is at least one hour for each class meeting.

(1)To deepen understanding of the themes and issues studied in lectures by reading reference books, newspaper articles, etc. on a regular basis.
(2) Through internships, part-time jobs, and other opportunities to interact with corporate management and industrial society, think about the realities and issues concerning social relations related to corporate management based on the discussions and theories learned in the lectures, and deepen understanding of what is learned in class.

Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the term-end examination.
