Outline (in English)

The purpose of this lecture is to get knowledge of fundamental bookkeeping technique for students who are going to study accounting and/or corporate finance in the near future. This lecture includes technique, principle, history, and practice of bookkeeping.

The goals of this class are as follows.
(1) Understand the contents of basic transactions, and acquire the technology to record and summarize them to prepare financial statements.
(2) Learn the methods to infer business situations from the prepared financial statements.
(3) Understand the existence of accounting issues and the concepts necessary to discuss them through the preparation and reading of financial statements.
(4) Acquire the knowledge to pass the official business skill test in Book-keeping 3rd grade.
(5) Acquire general liberal arts knowledge about bookkeeping.

The standard preparatory study / review time for this class is 2 hours each, including solve the exercises learned in each lecture.

Evaluate based on the following two points (weights in parentheses). (1) Viewing history status (20%)
(2) Confirmation test each time (40%)
(3) Questionnaire description status (40%)
Students submit questions and impressions through the Google Form after each class. The description will be announced anonymously to all students. The submission status and description will be reflected in the grades as an evaluation of participation and contribution to the class.
