Outline (in English)
This class aims to understand the goals and contents of moral education at a school and further discusses moral education through whole school educational activities as well as curriculum and instruction of moral education. Details are to explore ①the current situation and issues of moral education, ②the essence of morality, ③the history of moral education, ④ the goals and main contents of moral education in the National Courses of Study, ⑤how to design lesson plans of moral education, and ⑥the simulated lessons and their reflection.
Students are able to understand the goals and contents of moral education at a school, moral education through whole school educational activities, and curriculum and instruction of moral education. Specifically students are able to ① grasp the current situation and issues of moral education, ② explain the essence of morality, ③ understand the history of moral education, ④ know the goals and main contents of moral education in the National Courses of Study, ⑤ design lesson plans of moral education, and ⑥ develop perspectives of how to improve lessons through the simulated lessons and their reflection.
Please read newspapers and literature related to moral education on a daily basis and deepen your thoughts on what "morality" is and what it means to "educate morality."
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process
Mid-term report (30%), term-end examination (40%), and in-class contribution(30%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
本講義は道徳の本質を問い直し、そのうえで今後の道徳教育のあり方についての展望を与えることを目指すものである。道徳教育をめぐっては、道徳が「特別の教科」に変更されたことに伴い、そのあり方をめぐって議論が進められているが、そうした転換期にあって、「そもそも道徳とは何か？」「道徳教育は可能なのか？」「道徳教育はいかになされるべきか？」といった根本的な問いに向き合うことは不可欠であろう。本講義ではそうした原理的な問いに立ち返りつつ、今後の道徳教育のあり方を問うべく、道徳教育の歴史、現状、課題について概説する。そしてそのうえで優れた道徳教育の実践を紹介し、履修者自らが授業を構成していくための知識の修得を目指す。

道徳の意義や原理等に基づき、学校における道徳教育の目標や内容を理解する。
学校の教育活動全体を通じて行う道徳教育及びその要となる道徳科における指導計画や指導方法を理解する。
①道徳教育の現状と課題について把握する。
②道徳の本質を説明できる。
③道徳教育の歴史について理解する。
④学習指導要領に示された道徳教育及び道徳科の目標及び主な内容を理解している。
⑤自ら「道徳」の授業を組み立てることができる。
⑥模擬授業の実施とそのふりかえりを通して、授業改善の視点を身につけている。

基本的には講義形式とするが、模擬授業やグループワーク等の機会を設ける。また、コメントシートの提出を必須とし、授業の初めに，前回の授業で提出されたリアクションペーパーからいくつか取り上げ，全体に対してフィードバックを行う。

授業の目的や進め方、評価方法についてガイダンスを行い、道徳教育を学ぶ意義を検討する。
2[対面/face to face]：道徳教育の現状と課題－「道徳の教科化」とその学習評価
学習指導要領を踏まえて、道徳の教科化とその学習評価について検討する。
3[対面/face to face]：道徳教育の歴史
戦前・戦後の道徳教育を検討する。
4[対面/face to face]：心の教育について—学習指導要領における「心の教育」
学習指導要領を踏まえて、「心の教育」について検討する。
5[対面/face to face]：いのちの教育について—学習指導要領における「いのちの教育」
学習指導要領を踏まえて、「いのちの教育」について検討する。
6[対面/face to face]：人権教育について—学習指導要領における「人権教育」
学習指導要領を踏まえて、「人権教育」について検討する。
7[対面/face to face]：道徳性の発達理論
道徳性の発達理論を踏まえて、道徳性が発達するとはどのようなことかを検討する。
8[対面/face to face]：悪の体験と子どもの発達
悪の体験から子どもの発達、教育の限界点について検討する。
9[対面/face to face]：情報モラル
情報モラルについて確認したうえで、情報モラル教育について検討する。
10[対面/face to face]：シティズンシップ教育について
シティズンシップ教育と道徳教育の重なりとずれを検討する。
11[対面/face to face]：モラルジレンマ型の道徳教育
モラルジレンマ型の道徳教育について、その意義と課題を検討する。
12[対面/face to face]：「道徳」における指導案の書き方および発問の仕方について
指導案作成のポイントについて検討する。
13[対面/face to face]：模擬授業の実施および「道徳」の実践例の紹介
模擬授業を実施するとともに、「道徳」の実践例を紹介し、それらについて検討する。
14[対面/face to face]：全体のふりかえりとまとめ
本講義のふりかえりとまとめを行う。

日頃より道徳教育に関わる新聞記事や文献等に目を通し、「道徳」とは何は、「道徳を教育する」とはどういうことかについて考えを深める。
