Outline (in English)

Course outline : The content of this class consists of the two parts. The first one is focused on Japanese laws and systems in educational administration and finance.
The second is related to the topics on school organization and management including risk management, safety measure and cooperation with local community,
It is necessary for those who attend the class to understand the basic knowledge of them and consider these matters by themselves.
Learning Objectives ：Students will be required to understand the fundamental knowledges not only on the education laws and institutions in Japan public education system, but also on the school organizations and managements including both the school and community collaborations,and the safeties and risk managements.
Learning activities outside of classroom : Your required study time is at least 2 hour for each class meeting.
Grading Criteria /Policy : Students will be evaluated not only on their understanding of basic knowledge, but also on their ability to discuss their own findings with objective knowledge and data evidence. Evaluation will be made on the basis of in-class comment papers (approx. 40%) and the final report (approx. 60%).
