Outline (in English)

◆Course outline
Learn the concept of creating a richer sports, leisure, and recreation space by using the space concepts of "inside the court" and "outside the court" in "Sports Space Theory".
◆Learning Objectives
In this course, students will learn the significance and roles of "inside the court" and "outside the court", which are the main concepts of "Sport Spatial Theory", and will be able to recognize the value of each student's sport, actual sporting behavior, and respect for others. The students will be able to recognize the significance of the spatial concepts covered in this lecture and utilize them in all aspects of their daily lives.
◆Learning activities outside of classroom
The designated textbook is Sports club Sociology:Range of “With Love from ‘outside the Court’” (Seikyusha). In each lecture, we will use about 10 pages from the designated text as learning materials. I would like to set aside time for students to read the textbook outside of class time for prior study, and also to read the textbook briefly in class. A PowerPoint presentation (PDF) prepared by the class instructor will be distributed in advance using Google classroom. Students are expected to read the designated pages of the textbook in advance, and prepare for the class by using the powerpoint document (PDF) distributed in advance (prior learning). After the lecture, students will review the lecture in order to submit reaction comments (post-learning). The standard preparation and review time for this lecture is 2 hours each.
◆Grading Criteria /Policy
Reaction and comments at each lecture: 80%, Final Report :20%
