Outline (in English)

The objective of this course is to provide you an opportunity to know the essence of sociological thinking and introduce its way to approach and grasp social phenomena with some basic sociological concepts.
Accordingly, the goal of the course for you is to acquire ability to see and understand contemporary social issues from sociological point of view. To accomplish this goal, you are expected to study class materials and other related works in sociology. Expected study time for each class is about four hours.
The overall grade will be decided based on the mid-term and final examinations (50% each).
