In this class emphasis is placed on reading aloud and comprehension of authentic English texts. Vocabulary and pronunciation, as well as understanding of reading materials is essential.
到達目標Goal
Through reading aloud and oral elaboration, students will gain the ability to not simply translate English texts (直訳), but to comprehend the overall meanings and express them in natural, easy to understand summaries.Acquire English Language skills in reading, speaking, thinking, discussing.Gain confidence in the Presentation of ideas and inspiration using English language comprehension skills.

NOTE: Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, classes will be conducted entirely online (using Zoom Software).
The class will begin April 11,2022. As classes will be online a self- introductory short video with a written explanation which includes a nickname, autobiographical information plus An explanation of the video content will be the first assignment.The following assignments will include reading materials and study of vocabulary from the text and other selected materials.

BEFORE each class, students should read over the texts using a dictionary and have a general understanding of the topic. 本授業の準備学習・復習時間は合わせて1時間を標準とします。Review readings,research and prepare final written reports and final audio/visual video presentation.
