Outline (in English)

Course outline: This course examines labor and industrial relations in the era of globalization.
Learning Objectives: In this seminar, students will learn the theoretical and practical issues related to the world of work, conduct individual or group research project, and discuss the current situation and challenges of our society.
Learning activities outside of classroom: Before each class meeting of reading session, students will be expected to read the relevant chapter(s) from the reading assignments. Students will also be expected to participate in group research project or conduct individual research project including fieldwork such as interviews and participant observations, analyze the data, and prepare for presentations in class and a research meeting of the department.
Grading Criteria: Overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following.
Term-end paper: 50%、in class contribution: 50%
