Outline (in English)

Through analysis of research cases, students will learn about the mechanics and fundamental characteristics of reinforced concrete structure, structure design methods, and modern trends in technology.
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
−1. Understanding the theory and performance of reinforced concrete structure.
−2. Grasping the latest research trend in the Architectural Institute of Japan.
−3. Understanding the content of experimental research on reinforced concrete members.
−4. Acquiring the basic concept of design and construction in fields where future development is expected.
−5. Cultivating the ability to accurately explain advanced content to third parties through in-class presentations.
After each class meeting, your required study time is at least two hours.
Final grade will be decided based on
Final assignment presentation and report: 25%, Short reports: 25%, in class contribution: 50%
