Outline (in English)

Communication skill is vital to thrive in the global engineering community. Above all, presentation skill is one of the greatest career-boosters for engineers. This presentation course offers opportunities to improve presentation skills and techniques by integrating video self-reflection and peer evaluation. The 14-week course consists of lectures and presentation sessions by the students. Students are assigned to make at least three presentations in both Japanese and English after the lectures on structuring presentations and using compelling visuals with powerful body language. Students' presentations are videotaped, and they will receive constructive feedback from the instructor and classmates. After checking the peer evaluation results and the recorded video, the student will reflect on their performances and write a self-reflection report, which enhances their presentation skills.
