Outline (in English)

The existence of tectonic landforms is one of the most significant features on the natural environment of the Japanese islands. These tectonic landforms have mainly developed related to recurrent large earthquakes. We examine spatial variation, mechanism, and history of tectonic landforms as well as seismogenic environments in the Japanese islands, in order to understand natural environment of the Japanese islands and to improve our social resilience.
