Outline (in English)

This course deals with the basis of the fundamental modern physics through the history of alchemy. It also helps students acquire an understanding of the hierarchy and origin of matter. By the end of the course, participants should be able to do the following:
・Explain attempts of the alchemy in the ancient and middle ages
・Describe the hierarchy of matter from smallest to largest
・Discuss the evidences that indicates the existence of atoms in scientific laws
・Explain the structure of atom from the point of view of modern physics
・Explain the periodic table of elements in terms of the electron orbit
