Outline (in English)

The purpose of this course is to get students aquainted with the fundamental analysis, which is to analyze corporations from the point of view of investors in stocks and bonds. In general, corporations can be analyzed with respect to each of functional areas, such as management, management strategy, finance, accounting, marketing, and operations management. But the performance of a corporation depends on all these functional areas.
Therefore, students in this course are strongly encouraged to apply all the knowledge and skills they have learned in the courses they have taken so far at the Faculty of Business Administration. For this reason, we spend the Spring semester on reading textbooks in one or two of the above mentioned functional areas. In addition, if time allows, we spend the second half of the Fall semester on small research projects where a group of a few students choose a research topic that are related to business or economy and work on it as a team. Each group presents their analysis in class and upload it at the Web site for this course.
