Outline (in English)

As the world gets globalized, firms cross the national borders. Those including small- and medium-sized firms and startups are getting more engaged in businesses overseas. That is, global business strategy is an integral part of the strategic management. However, because of differences between the foreign markets and the home market, firms often fail to gain competitive advantages.
This course introduces students to key concepts and frameworks of international business studies. Students will understand how firms gain competitive advantages in foreign markets, and acquire a skill to analyze firms’ success and failure in foreign markets.
