Outline (in English)

For us living in substance civilization like present, material conversion technology using chemical reaction is indispensable technology. For modern society in which global warming prevention and resource depletion countermeasures are an urgent task, technologies for efficiently manufacturing chemical substances are indispensable technologies for protecting the global environment. Most of the chemical reactions that have been put to practical use are catalytic reactions. The catalyst has a function of efficiently promoting only a specific reaction of interest through acceleration / deceleration of the reaction rate. Therefore, catalyst technology has occupied an important position as an efficient manufacturing technology of various chemical substances necessary for human life. On the other hand, it is also used for the purpose of decomposing and removing chemical substances which adversely affect the environment. In this lecture, we will explain from practical use to what is expected to be put to practical use in the future, taking up some chemical industry and catalyst technology used for environmental purification, Understand the importance of conversion technology and its contents.
