Outline (in English)

In the process of solving social problems, it is the key to make a set of collective choice rules to control self-interested behavior concerning various types of interests of multiple actors. We can see several forms of such institution, for example, contracting based on private property rights, enforcement by central governments as the two sides, and self-organized monitoring and control by common property regime with implicit norms and customs. It is still controversial on why such common property regime should be legitimate or functions effectively.
This course aims to learn fundamental concepts of game theory and existing theories on creating institution solving collective action dilemmas, and acquire the way to analyze and make a solution to social problems.
