○大学教育で必要となる外国語コミュニケーション能力のうち、英語における「読む」「話す」「書く」能力の向上を目指す。
○現代英語の実情を知り、異文化間コミュニケーションの方法、そして相互理解を図る目的と方法を各自で探る。

○大学教育で必要となる外国語コミュニケーション能力のうち、英語における「読む」「話す」「書く」能力の向上を目指す。
○現代英語の実情を知り、異文化間コミュニケーションの方法、そして相互理解を図る目的と方法を各自で探る。
到達目標Goal
学生は本授業において、
1. 異文化理解に関する様々な話題の英文を読み、その内容が理解できるようになる。
2. 英文法を中心に置いたリーディング力を身につける。
3. 母語、英語を問わず、他者に自分の意見を伝えることができるようになる。

基本的に、一つの章を二週に渡って扱う。一週目には素材文を読み、内容を把握することに重点を置く。二週目には素材文に使われている文法事項を確認し、文を作り、意見を英語で発表することに注力する。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
Students are expected to actively participate in class, prepare short presentations, complete writing assignments and pass the final test.
Your work will be evaluated as follows:
- Active participation in class: 20%
- Writing assignments, homeworks and short presentations: 50%
- Final exam: 30%
