Outline (in English)

This course intends to promote students’ analysis of the roles and functions of social welfare system as well as the connotation of “supporting the aged” by understanding the diverse environment and lifestyles of older adults themselves and their families. That involves studying welfare system and measures surrounding the care for the aged, and reviewing prior social work research data. We will also examine the objectives and methods of research themes of each student. Further, students are expected to deepen their knowledge in the acutal implementation of social work services for the aged in the community and its challenges through various field work.
