SMALL TOWN, COMMUNITY AND URBAN RESTORATION.
People-Centred Approaches to Cultural Heritage | UN Agenda 2030
These Lectures aims to approach the students to the UN 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as the global plan of action for People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnerships, which acknowledges that resilient and sustainable communities depend on the safeguarding of cultural and natural heritage. The program aims also to share solutions to revitalize and to enhance the small town in Japan in collaboration with the local communities.

【小都市、コミュニティ、都市保全再生 文化遺産への人々中心のアプローチ｜国連アジェンダ2030】
本授業では，国連2030アジェンダと持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）の世界的な行動計画の一環として，文化遺産や自然遺産の保護がレジリエントで持続可能な地域社会の実現に不可欠であることを学びます．さらに，日本の小都市を活性化させ，地域社会との連携の中でより良いものにするための解決策を学びます．
到達目標Goal
将来の技術者や建築家として新たな視点を獲得することができます．また，国際的な法律や国際機関による勧告，コミュニティが中心となった都市保存再生計画の手順なども知ることができます．
To approach future engineers and architects to new perspectives and to know also international laws, recommendations and procedures to plan an urban restoration where the community plays a central role.

本授業は外国人客員教授であるOlimpia NIGLIO教授が担当しますが，新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響により，オンラインで開講する可能性があります．開講時間割についてはHoppiiに掲載します．本授業の開講は2021年度のみです．
本授業は，理論的導入（本授業の主要部分），方法論とプロジェクト紹介，ケーススタディと先進的事例紹介の3部構成となっています．国連2030アジェンダとSDGsの17の目標を適用するための様々な方法を理解するため，理論的な部分に重点を置いています．
授業中の説明は，写真や動画を用いたヴィジュアルエイドを用いて行います．
Every lecture is organized in three parts: Theorical introduction (main topic), Methodology and Project; A case of study and best practice. The theorical support will be important to introduce the different methods of the application of the UN 2030 Agenda and the 17 goals.
Oral presentations will be organized by Power Point program with the support of the photos and videos.

授業中に紹介した方法に沿って、大都市の旧市街や地方の小さな歴史的都市を分析する課題を出題します。
All students are invited to analyze an ancient district of a big city, or small ancient town in rural area, following the suggested approaches during the classes.

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
-授業中の討議応答：30％。
-1～2回の中間課題（プレゼンテーション）：35%
-最終課題（レポート＋プレゼンテーション）：35%
最終プロジェクトではパワーポイントを用いて発表します．このほか，これらの内容を海外の学生と共有するために国際セミナーを開催する可能性もあります．
-Discussion Responses (answer questions during lectures): 30%
-Mid-Term Test ‒ one or two, with questions which are on presentations: 35%
-Final Project (Homework): 35%
The final project will be presented by a document in PPT and the proposal is also to organize an international seminar to share these experiences with other students in the world.

創造性と革新性を評価します．履修者自分の出身地や研究対象としている都市について修復や再生が必要な地区や地域を選んで研究してもらいます．倫理的なアプローチと地域社会との対話が非常に重要になります．
本授業を担当するOlimpia NIGLIO教授は，ICOMOS PRERICO副会長、ACLAアジア文化景観協会副会長，EdA国際研究センター「Esempi di Architettura」所長，京都大学・北海道大学客員教授．コロンビア・ボゴタのホルヘ・タデオ・ロザノ大学教授を歴任しています．
Creativity and innovation will be appreciated. Students will be invited to research in their hometown and the city where they study to find district or area that need to restore and to enhance. The ethical approach and the dialogue with the community will be very important.
Professor Olimpia NIGLIO, Vice President ICOMOS PRERICO and ACLA Asian Cultural Landscape Association. Director International Research Center EdA “Esempi di Architettura” and already professor at Kyoto University and Hokkaido University. She has been titular professor at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University of Bogotá in Colombia.
