Outline (in English)
【Outline】
How did life come into being and how did it evolve?
This lecture outlines the pathway based on current knowledge.
【Objectives】
The object of this course is to enable students to scientifically explain the history of biological evolution from the development of primordial life to the birth of humans.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Preparation and review for this class should take about several hours. Read the handouts and class notes carefully to fully understand the content. It is recommended to read books related to the origin and evolution of organisms to deepen your understanding.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Basically, the evaluation is done by the examination at the end of the term. The evaluation method is subject to change depending on the status of the class.

生命はどのように誕生し，進化してきたのか？
現在の知見を元にその道筋を概説する．
到達目標Goal
始原生命の発生から人類の誕生に至るまでの生物進化の経緯について，受講学生が科学的に説明できるようになることを目標とする．
この授業を履修することで学部等のディプロマポリシーに示されたどの能力を習得することができるか（該当授業科目と学位授与方針に明示された学習成果との関連）Which item of the diploma policy will be obtained by taking this class?
ディプロマポリシーのうち、以下に関連している。理工学部：「DP2」と「DP4」、生命科学部「DP1」。

最初の数回で，授業内容を理解するための基本的なの知識について説明し，その後に生命の誕生と進化について概説する．高校で生物を選択しなかった学生にも分かりやすいように平易・簡潔な講義を行う．またトピックスに関連した回覧資料・視覚教材を適宜提供する．
課題等に対しては、学習支援システムを用いてフィードバックする、または
授業時にフィードバックする。授業方法は大学の行動指針に基づき変更する
可能性があり、その場合は学習支援システムで通知する。

本授業の準備・復習等の授業時間外学習は2-3時間程度を標準とする．配付資料と授業ノートをよく読み返し，内容を十分に理解すること．生物の起源と進化に関連する書籍等を読み，理解をより深めるのが望ましい．

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
基本的に学期末に行う試験で評価する．
授業の実施状況に伴い評価方法は変更することがある．
