Outline (in English)

As a doctoral dissertation instruction subject in the Graduate School of Public Policy and Social Governance, devise research topics and select themes for doctor's degree acquisition. We will provide guidance according to the situation of individual students regarding basic data collection, survey of prior research, discussion and analysis of issues, setting and verification of hypothesis, summary of the thesis etc.
The goal for students is to acquire expertise and research skills that will enable them to obtain a doctoral degree and to develop the ability to write a dissertation.
Learning Objectives
The goal of this course is to provide students with the skills needed in the process of completing a doctoral dissertation.
Students will write their dissertation by selecting a research concept and topic, collecting basic materials, surveying previous research, organizing and analyzing issues, and formulating and testing a hypothesis.
Learning activities outside of classroom
Students will conduct research on their research topic. Students will prepare resumes, materials, etc. for their reports.
Grading Policy
Evaluation will be made on the basis of 10% of normal score, 10% of presentation, and 80% of research content.
