Outline (in English)

Through writing a literature review and conducting field research, this course is designed for doctorate students to carry out their dissertation research. Students are expected to conduct both archival research and fieldwork outside classroom in addition to writing up their dissertations. Students will be graded based on participation in class discussions and assignments (30%) as well as their dissertation proposals (70%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives

この授業は博士課程１年生を対象とした演習科目であり、学生は修士論文を振り返りつつ、博士論文研究で必要な文献調査および現地調査を実行することを目標とする。授業では、文献レビュー、現地調査をもとにした民族誌の記述について発表および意見交換を行い、学生は授業で得たフィードバックをもとに研究計画を立て、博士論文研究を進める。

到達目標Goal

学生の到達目標は、１）博士論文のテーマを絞る、２）テーマに関連する学術文献の講読し、先行研究レビューを作成する、３）事前調査を含む現地調査を実施する、４）リサーチプロポーザルを完成させることである。
