Outline (in English)

<Course outline>
In this course, students will learn what is a job, views of occupation, and the social structure that is underlying of them by understanding from historical and international point of view. After that, students will review a present state. Besides, students will learn a background or present state of Ability for Job Development Support Policy and Matching Job with Employee Policy and think about problems and what the ideal state of them. In this course, students are required to submit reports and documents to introduce examples, and you will give a presentation, have a discussion and review reports.
<Learning Objectives>
・It is possible to understand the position and view of occupation in relation to the social structure.
・It is possible to understand the current state of policies and issues of countries and companies involved in professional careers and to consider them from a compound perspective.
・For the preparation of a master's thesis, it will be possible to accurately set a subject, present a hypothesis, and develop a persuasive argument.
<Learning activities outside of classroom>
The standard time for preparatory study and review for this class is 2 hours each.
<Grading Criteria /Policy>
Grading will be decided based on in-class contributions (30%), summaries (30%), and reports (40%).
