Outline (in English)

【Outline and objectives】
1 Main subject of this class is the current status and issues of human resource management of Japanese companies.
2 First purpose of this class is to understand what human resource management is.
3 Second purpose of this class is to consider the important issues that emerge from interfaces between human resource management and career development.
【Learning Objectives】
1 Students will acquire the basic knowledge of human resource management and acquire the ability to apply it to practical tasks.
2. Through reading and discussing literature on human resource management theory and career theory, we will develop the ability to critically read the literature necessary for master's thesis writing.
【Learning activities outside ofclassroom】
Lectures are based on lectures by lecturers, but their understanding of the content can only be deepened by the participants raising and discussing proactive issues. Please collect materials, data, examples, etc. related to each lecture theme as appropriate.
【Grading Criteria/Policy】
The contribution to the class is 50, and the literature or assignment report is 50 (just a rough guide).
Specifically, the emphasis is on (1) reporting and discussion of designated documents (research papers and cases related to the subject of the lesson), and (2) submission and discussion of assignment reports (frequency is about 3 times).
