Outline (in English)

【授業の概要(Course outline)】
The objective of this class is to learn the theories, concepts, and perspectives that relate to educational management, taking into account macro-factors such as social change, educational policy, and legislation, as well as micro practices at the chalkface.

【到達目標(Learning Objectives)】
Students are expected to understand the theories, concepts, and perspectives
necessary for research on school management.
Students are expected to be able to read and understand literature deeply and critically.

【授業時間外の学習(Learning activities outside of classroom)】
Students will be required to read the literature assigned for each session and prepare their own comment sheets. Students will also be required to prepare for the mid-term and final presentations on their own topics. The standard preparation and review time for this class is two hours each.

【成績評価の方法と基準(Grading Criteria /Policy)】
Contribution to discussion: 50%, Mid- and final-term report: 50%
