Outline (in English)

In this course, a textbook that a researcher wrote only by oneself is taken up, and the book is reviewed. The purpose to do that is students learn to criticize legal theory, not to know Administrative Law. A book taken up in this course is “GENERAL THEORY OF ADMINISTRATIVE LAW 3” written by Hiroshi SHIONO. However we don’t have enough time. So, in this course, we pick up ‘General Principle of Administrative Law’, ‘Administrative Discretion’, ‘Administrative Disposition’, ‘Administrative Guidance’, ‘Action for Revocation of Administrative Disposition’, ‘State Redress’, ‘Just Compensation’, and ‘Objective Litigation’(include Transitional Measures Concerning Citizen Actions and Interagency Actions).
At the end of the course, students are expected to explain basic matters and to choose a framework for handling administrative disputes.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following; In class contribution: 100%.
