Outline (in English)

1.Course outline
In order to develop a perspective on the legal analysis of various labor issues in our society, we read basic texts on U.S. labor law in rotation. If necessary, we also deal with U.S. legal precedents.
 The progression of the course will depend on the students' understanding. The course will also include reading of Japanese law texts on request.

2.Learning Objectives
1)To master the skill to explain the key issues and background of U.S. labor law.
2)To master the skill to express their own views on Japanese labor law issues based on their knowledge of U.S. labor law.

3.Learning activities outside of classroom
The standard preparation time for this class is three hours, during which time students should translate English into Japanese and conduct a survey of relevant literature.
The standard review time for this class is one hour, during which students should summarize their reading and consider feedback on their own papers.
