Outline (in English)
【Course outline】
This class aims to explore career designs in a global society by getting to know Taiwan. The major themes of the Taiwan experience study in the Spring semester are 1) understanding its history, society, culture and people, 2) learning Chinese language, 3) meeting and interacting with Taiwanese people and college students, and 4) considering meaning of career design in a global and multicultural society.
【Learning Objectives】
Students are able to 1) acquire basic knowledge of its history, society, culture and people, 2) use simple Chinese language as a communication tool, 3)interact effectively with Taiwanese people and college students, and 4) have their own idea on career design in a global and multicultural society.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will be expected to read the text and materials, conduct research and study and prepare presentations. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.
【Grading Criteria/Policy】
Grading will be decided based on in class contribution (30%) and assignments and presentations (70%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
この授業は、日本と関係が深い台湾を事例として、グローバルな視野からキャリアデザインから検討することを目的としている。春学期については、①台湾の歴史や社会、文化、人々について学ぶ、②中国語を学ぶ、③台湾につながる人々や大学生と交流する、④グローバルなキャリア（人生）のデザインについて考える。
到達目標Goal
①台湾の歴史や社会、文化、人々についての基本的な知識をもつことができる。② 交流で必要な最低限の中国語を話すことができる。③台湾につながる人々や大学生と効果的にコミュニケーションをとることができる。④台湾を事例に、グローバルなキャリアデザインについての自分なりの考えをもつことができる。
