Outline (in English)

In this lecture, students will learn "Game Theory". Game theory analyzes "strategic interdependence" between players (decision-makers) and has been applied to a wide range of economic problems such as competition between firms, contract problems, international trade, and international environmental problems, and has become an important tool in microeconomic analysis. In this course, graduate students will learn the basic principles and methods of game theory so that they can use game theory as an analytical tool for economic problems. This lecture also provides basic research skills for students who wish to advance to the doctoral program. Before/after each lecture, students will be expected to spend four hours to fully understand the content. Grading is based on Two Assignments (Problem Sets as Homework)(30%), and a Final Exam (70%).
