Outline (in English)

In this Economic Criminal Law course, we treat the following two parts. In the first part,general part,we examine (1)the relationship between the property crime and the economic criminal law, (2) the meaning and function of corporate punishment and (3) the protection of payment card, such as a credit card or debit card, with criminal sanction. In the second part,special part, we examine (1) Crimes in Antitrust Law, Financial Instruments and Exchange Act to protect market, (2) Crimes in Companies Act( including breach of trust in Penal Law) to protect company, (3) Consumer Criminal Law. Many crimes appearing in the newspaper and attracting people's attention are nowadays crimes treated in this course of economic criminal law. This course will also help understanding of Antitrust Law, Financial Instruments and Exchange Act and Companies Act, as basic structures of these Acts are analysed to comprehend the role of criminal sanction.

Grading Criteria /Policies
Contribution to the respective lecture accounts for 30% of the grade.
The result of the term-end exam accounts for 50% of the grade.
Attendance is compulsory.
