(Course outline)
Yoshimune Tokugawa, the 8th shogun of the Edo period, is known as the driving force behind the administrative and financial reforms of the shogunate. In fact, the first thing this person did after taking office was to browse the shogun family's library catalog. Yoshimune, who saw this library catalog, spent more than 20 years proofreading the collection. This subject examines the purpose of this project by Yoshimune.
