Outline (in English)

In this class, we will study about Fujiwara-no-Kaneie, a famous politician of Heian period. The aim of the class is for students to become familiar with ancient records, and to be able to read it at a basic level. In addition, through reading comprehension, the course aims to develop students’ interest in the politics, society, and culture of the Heian period and enable them to investigate and consider matters with a sense of the issues that arise.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content and prepare for the quizzes.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following: Quizzes and Short reports : 100%、and in-class contribution
