Outline (in English)

Course outline:
This lecture will discuss the role and significance of the Cistercian Order in European medieval society.
Learning Objectives:
The goals of this course are to understand the Cistercian Order in European medieval society, and consider the interrelationship between monasticism and secular social life.
Learning activities outside of classroom:
Students should consolidate their understanding of the course content by reviewing the handouts and reading the bibliography.
Grading Criteria/Policy:
Short reports: 20%, Term-end report: 80%
