【Course outline】
Translation is not only a transformation work between naturallanguages but also a fundamental principle that makes expression by languages possible. In this lecture we will consider translation texts between naturalanguages and grasp the basic concept of translation.
We use Saint-Exupéry: Le Little Prince and refer to translations of as any languages as possible. When we read this work now, is the image of the Little Prince the exactsame image that we read as a little child? And when we read it in English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese, Korean and so on, do we understand it in the same way?
