Outline (in English)

【Couse outline】
This class aims to examine various aspects of various cultures as philosophical problems from the viewpoint of the "informatics of culture". Therefore, we will first focus on "Life", which underlies "I" or "self". When we go about our daily lives, we do not pay much attention to the fact that we are alive.
However, when we suddenly get sick or injured, we realize that the fact that we are alive is very important. Our life is possible because we are "alive". So what is life? At the end of the course, students are expected to think about our life, and between philosophically.
In this class, we will focus on the philosophy of Judith Butler (1956-). From the standpoint of sexual minorities, she philosophizes about the relationship between our lives and sexuality, as well as about society and politics.

【Leaning Objectives】
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
−A. to learn how important it is for us to philosophize.
-B. to learn to think philosophically.
