Outline (in English)

Course outline
"Society and Art" is an introductory lecture that will allow you to see and think about the new world of expression that you rarely come into contact with. In particular, we will focus on the world of art, which deals with the relationship between society and art, which has been attracting attention since the 21st century. You will also learn about the points of contact between society and art and their relationships by referring to various examples of performing arts such as theatre, music, and the world of representations such as architecture. Focusing on the two themes of "art history and theory" (first half) and "society and art" (second half), we will examine and discuss each issue and problem from the keywords of each area.
1. Art history and theory Learn about the history and theory of modern and contemporary art from the 18th to 21st centuries, which is the basis for learning about society and art.
2. Society and art Learn about the relationship between media as a mirror that reflects society and the times and artistic expression, with concrete examples.
